These terms govern the provision of services by Sound Gas Services Ltd (Company No. 13934333), registered at 10 Allison Cl, Waltham Abbey, EN9 3NY.
1. Quotes & estimates
All written quotes are fixed-price and valid for 30 days from issue, unless stated otherwise. Verbal estimates are indicative only. Additional works requested on-site will be quoted before being carried out.
2. Bookings & cancellations
Bookings are confirmed by email or text. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel a non-emergency appointment. Emergency call-outs are subject to a separate call-out fee disclosed before dispatch.
3. Payment
Invoices for completed work are payable within 7 days unless otherwise agreed in writing. For installations, a deposit may be required to secure equipment. We accept bank transfer and major card payments.
4. Workmanship guarantee
Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of invoice. Manufacturer warranties on parts and appliances are passed through in addition. Guarantees are void where third parties have subsequently worked on the system without our agreement.
5. Punctuality promise
If we miss an agreed arrival window for a booked appointment without calling ahead, the call-out fee for that visit is waived. Delays due to weather, traffic incidents or prior emergency call-outs will be communicated as early as possible.
6. Gas Safety
All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers and notified to the Register where required. Landlord CP12 certificates are issued in line with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998.
7. Liability
We carry £2 million public liability insurance. Our liability is limited to the value of the work undertaken and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Materials & access
You agree to provide reasonable access to the property and to disclose any known hazards (asbestos, structural issues, etc.) before work begins. Materials supplied by us remain our property until paid for in full.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us at admin@soundgasservices.co.uk. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and resolve them within 14.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
